Why did you get into fitness (and CrossFit)?

I’ve always enjoyed mixing strength training, body weight movements, and endurance training in my workouts, so when I was introduced to CrossFit, I found it to be a perfect fit. It’s the most efficient training program that I know of and the community and the fun of suffering through a workout with a group is what keeps me at it.

Why did you become a trainer?

Although I’m not a full time trainer, I really enjoy working with people and helping them achieve their fitness goals. There is tremendous satisfaction in helping people realize that it can be fun and that they don’t have to kill themselves getting into shape. There is enough guilt and pressure out there – working out should be an escape from all that.

What’s your favorite CrossFit movement?

Rope climbs and hang power cleans

What is your favorite cheat food?

My wife’s chocolate chip banana bread!

What’s your favorite Superhero and why?

Ricky Fitts because he is one courageous and calm dude.
